Calm brainwaves from high-beta to the alpha/theta states.
Lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) to improve your recovery.
Connect you to your ability to regulate your nervous system and redirect your focus.

My work is to discover ways you perceive and receive information and guide you through relaxation and visualisation processes which help you exist in a state of calm.
The order of the day is to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, and we do this with processes that help you get to these slower brainwave states.
In these states we discover your preferences and ideals, work through resistance and create space to open to new perspectives.
We adjust as we go and build on what works.

How does it work? Your brain on stress
You'll be guided through relaxation and visualisation processes which are aimed to calm your brainwaves from the high-beta state of stress to the alpha and theta states.
We get to these states with muscle relaxation processes and guided sensory cues.
When relaxed (in the alpha~theta states), the body isn't producing as much cortisol (stress hormone) therefore DHEA (the chemical precursor of cortisol) can instead be used to rebuild DNA (improve mental and physical recovery).
This work offers a chance to increase the ratio of time spent in states of relaxation (in these calmer brainwave states) in an effort to reduce stress levels, interrupt existing patterns, and practice attuning to ideal conditions.

This is mind training — consciously calibrating mentally and physically .
My training as a hypnotherapist will guide you into and around these alpha~theta brainwave states.
While you're in these states, you'll attune to what goes on in your awareness (brain and body) as you explore potentials, discover associations and work through resistance.
The more you can go in with an attitude of curiosity, the more you'll learn about yourself.
At the very least, these services offer a sense of calm to exist within and allow you to practice interoception (sensing how you feel in the body).
Frequently Asked Questions
We can meet in person or online — there's a few options available.
Typically, after a call to ask any questions and determine whether you'd like to proceed, our first session is about discovering your goals/desired results, learning what's worked for you and what hasn't, and we'll go through some processes to discover more about your preferences.
After the session, you'll receive a flexible listening program of relaxing audio recordings designed to suit your goals/desired state.
If after 4 weeks you feel like there's more to work through, or if you want to build on from the first session, you're welcome to book a follow-up session.
For new clients, it's recommended to plan for 3 x sessions, but one might be enough to set you on your way.
Relaxing! ~ ~ ~
Similar to a guided meditation or yoga nidra, you'll be guided through muscle relaxation visualisations and imaginations.
All experiences are designed to support you where you are and where you want to be, at the very least offering a sense of calm to exist within (to allow the parasympathetic nervous system to do it's thing).
As well as in-session processes, you’ll receive guided audio recordings to listen to in your own time, and some thought experiments, too. I may also share some reading material/articles.
It's all about offering support, resources and considerations aimed to keep your focus and open you to possibilities.

I have a Diploma in Trauma Informed Hypnotic Sciences (Clinical Hypnotherapy) a certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and a Certificate in Psychotherapy.
